promoting at the highest level


In this blog I’ll write something about Sponsoring the Champions leage.
Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has announced that the sponsorship deal that it has with EUFA for the Champions League has just been renewed until 2014
For the past 9 years Sony Computers has been sponsoring the UAFA Champions Leage with their brand Play Station. With this deal they are associated with the most important football league in the world, with this deal it also has a commitment with the sport and the video games they have on the Playstation 3. To watch football is entertainment what connect with playing games on the playstation. Playstation even used the Champions Leage to create a football game on the console. For the whole deal Playstation pays millions of euro’s. Sony can afford spending such an amount of money on advertising as it is facing record losses, but there’s coming in at more than 1 billion for the last financial year. Brands as playstation need to promote on a high level because there are lots of competitors at the market, like Xbox and Nintendo. Brands as Playstation has got one target and that’s to be a market leader. The brand will appear with all Champions leage games by using billboards and commercials, and so Playstation is getting a big public. Playstation is hot? What do you think about this?
